Settling in....

After a week of unpacking we are almost settled in. I have a few more boxes and the garage to finish so I will work on that while Jeff is in DC this week. what a blessing a house is. We made a run to Michigan this weekend for a day to see "7 Brides for 7 Brothers" staring the Peterson family! They did a great job. This is our last week of summer before school starts I think we are ready.

Here is the piano room. We really do have too many books. On my piano is our picture of Christ, that's going in the entry way and the stain glass window will go elsewhere to but for now they are safe in here.

.... I only wish they would share. I've been up since 5 unpacking. We did this till 1 am Friday night from 7-11 Saturday, and we are almost done. One small problem I am loosing my motivation. Jeff and I still have an office to paint and organize, a bunk bed to assemble, and we haven't touched our room much. My kids have been such troopers, often bored with the unpacking, and its too hot to play outside long. Everyone here has been motivated by the leftover ice cream bars we elder to our EQ movers. I am thrilled to have a kitchen and appliances back, but the kitchen isn't ready yet for cooking much unless you don't need a countertop. My goal is to be done by.Wednesday night. The garbage man comes on Thursday, if my kids can pit up with me till then I think we will make our goal.

Officially we are now homeless....

....we better close today without anymore delays!

What's wrong with this photo....

..... do u see the problem? We had a very limited selection of jump suites. Jeff has the extra elastic...Chandra's doesn't...and hers is too big but we only had one large and one extra large.....oh well they worked. Jeff performed the baptism and confirmation...his first ever! Chandra glowed after this the Atonement is so wonderful!

Starting to roll over...right at 4 months!

We close in ONE week.

I wasn't going to start packing yet.... jk for those that know me...its a shock the house hasn't gotten all packed up by now. :) A wonderful friend just moved and gave me her extra boxes....and then I just couldn't help myself.  The kids helped me today. We've packed up 75% of the apartment stuff minus the furniture. We'll take this over to the storage unit tonight and then next week with our 16' truck we will love everything else to the new house. I'm starting to get really excited!

New desk

I found this desk on craigslist list for a steal...so I just finished touching it up. This will be perfect for our entry  way.... we close in 6 days!!!

MAD and Very WORRIED mom....

...this morning I woke up to a large POP and then Ben saying his fingers were hurting and crying. I immediately knew he had been shocked. I ran to his room and 3/5 fingers were all black (no pic). I went to the bathroom but the lights were out. So I used wet wiped to examine his gingers better....thank fully no burns. Maybe not best choice word but I kept telling him over and over how.stupid.it is to play with outlets because you cab get hurt.  After all this I finally worked.out that he had put this tab above the fan plug and touched it to the two prongs. I don't know how bad he could have been hurt but all I could think of is previous burn patients hurt fingers.

Oh...little boys can really scare their moms!

Weather and Computers

We got the rain we were praying for...well some of it. But it sent some other problems as well. When we had the thunderstorms during church we oohed and awed...but then came home to see that for some reason it fried the power supply to our computer... so I'll be working of my phone for a while. Not sure when the computer will get fixed. I do have my small laptop but it doesn't work very fast, its great for what we purchased it for, me taking notes and keeping up with classes while I was in school but that was a few years ago. Jeff's computer got him through gradschool but is on the fast declien as well. I guess we'll add a new computer to the "purchase when funds become available" list. So please bear with us, updates may be less frequent, webcam options are gone for a while unless my laptop is having a good day.

Princess hairstyles shows how to.make these spring curls. When Ehre's hair drys we will take out all but the top 3... it will then be curly!

No wrapping paper...

I needed wrapping paper and didn't have any so I used a paper bag. It was fun so I just decided that for Christmas this year the kids will be doing the same thing with me as we wrap gifts. Fun art project...totally free!

Well it's warmer than 104, went to the pool for 2' this morning.... now we are going back!

Bad Genetics...

Well its now fading but here is my 4" bruise on the back of my arm. I was carrying Beck and dogged a kid, but bumped into the corner of a wall...and bruised. Some days I look beat up....its not Jeff, just bad genes. Jeff laughs at my legs after every move because they have.bruise polka dots.

85' indoor and humod

Needless to say it has been a bit uncomfortable the last few days. We knew the ac was having problems the first week we got here. We put a work order in...but it got lost. So I called again today and they brought us a portable ac unit. Tomorrow morning they will come to work on th ac. In the mean time this is.where the kids are hanging out.

Baby's in our ward...

Last summer when we were here there were no Baby Beck's. When we moved out here we found that in Jan a baby was born named Beckett and in late March a bay boy named Beck. There is also 4-5 babies that were born around Beck's time... its fun to see so many babies all around the same age but so different.

My sleepy child....

.... likes to sleep alot on Sundays.
