Ehre's Birthday!

Ehre had a wonderful play date with her friends for her birthday. She loved having them all over for pink princess cupcakes. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to decorate them cute, and I don't they turned out all that bad. :)

I can't believe she is 5! Honestly it seems not that long ago that we were pregnant with her. She is a joy to have in our family (even if she did get into my black paint last night and paint the wall and desk...) She is so creative and very smart. She loves to read and she loves to dance.

She also is musical, she remembers things quickly if there is a tune to go with it. She has memorized the first 2 Articles of Faith, and is almost finished with the 3rd, and its only January!

Happy Birthday Ehre!

Potty Training & Life.

Christmas this year was wonderful, I'll get around to posting photos later. :) It was wonderful to have my parents in town for graduation, and great to see Spencer before he heads of on a mission (this was the last time we'll see him for 2+ years)
:( He will be a great missionary and we are excited for him.

We received so many thoughtful gifts and treats, and are so grateful for the thoughts and good wishes that came with them. I'm no Scrooge but it felt good to put away all the Christmas decorations and start focusing on Ehres' birthday this week.

After Ben's stinky diaper this morning, I decided that I'd have to start the potty training anyways so I should just start now. I'm proud to report that Ben has done an amazing job! No accidents and he even survived a trip to WalMart! I hope that by the end of the week he has the hang of this new routine.

Ehre is being a supportive sister, she reminds him often, which is very helpful. We are still working on getting them to play nicely. At daycare they have always been separate. We were hoping the arguments they were having over the last year in the evenings were just because they were tired....after today I sadly report that no its not because they are tired. They need to learn how to play together again...and I need to find where ever I stashed my patience. :)

So we all survived the day, which is a good thing. :)
Lots of Love!

Graduation December 20, 2009

I did it, and it was because I had such a wonderful family supporting me the whole way! My parents flew in for the ceremony, and it was nice to have them with Jeff in the audience. Funny though, they were rushing us so fast they saw my name on the screen but didn't see me walk. That's OK, I have two photos! I'll get more in a week or so from my friend!

Gift Idea... ha ha ha !

( Note: I did not make these but I got a good laugh!!!)

Christmas is tight this year.....

My dear friends and family,

Somewhat embarrassing to admit but Christmas will be tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below.

How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:

You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.

Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most
aesthetically appealing), etc.

These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags.

I've attached a photo of the first pair made so that you can see the
nifty slippers for yourself....

Awaiting your response . It's crucial that I get the right size for each
one of you.

My goal is to report my workouts for each day, and feel the responsibility of letting you know that I am doing it!

I'd love to have you join me!

Kids Room...

Can you believe that these art projects were only collected since the week before Thanksgiving?! Usually we throw them away but my kids wanted to put them up to show my parents when the come for Christmas. ;) So now their room is an art gallery, and I can't wait to clean it up...there is just tooo much art for that tiny room. Ehre especially loves to creat works of art at school, she has a tallent and its cute to see all that she creates! (Ps. I only posted a few pics!)

Here is our tree, and my Primary gift from last year! We love Christmas, it feels so magical. The kids love the lights and music, and we love it too!

Thanksgiving at the much fun!

My mom gave them a bunch of books that we used to read when we were younger, this one by far was one of my favorites. It was great to see James reading the book!

Sorry the pictures are all jumbled but what we have here is...

1. Thanksgiving Dinner

2. Peterson's Christmas Ball

3. First Snow Man (woman)

4. Thanksgiving Turkey Name Place's

5. Alice teaching the kids to tumble with Vondi on her back...amazing!
