Ehre Playing in the Snow
Ehre Playing in the Snow
Our FIRST snow fall! Ehre and I had to go make a special trip to find some boots, but then she was all set to go out and play in the back yard.

Chicago
What a beautiful city at night, and it was only 6 pm. We went to the temple Saturday morning and then we decided to take the train down town. Our friends rode the Metra and said it only took about 20 minutes...we took the CTA...ooops . Well We boarded the train....rode for 20 minutes had to catch a bus for 20 minutes and then ride the train the rest of the way in. The rout we choose to ride was under construction...so it took us 1 1/2 hours each way. Crazy but it was a good experience.
Japanese Steakhouse
This was a new experience for our family! Jason and Marcella took us to this little restaurant in Chicago and it was SOOOO good! I'd love to return again! The food was prepared right before us and served fresh of the grill. My favorite part was the shrimp...and I don't like shrimp!
The lit the grill on fire. Ehre thought that this was really cool. Then the took our onions and stacked them up, lit the inside and we had a little "onion train". :)

Dinner Table Fun
Well.. I guess we were asking for a mess when we let Benjamin feed himself a cracker.... and of course....we got a huge mess. Ehre thought it was fun that we were taking pictures, and asked to have a few taken of herself. I promise I do her hair and it never makes it through the day. She loves to redo it herself. :)

Trunk or Treat Party!
Making this a Stake idea was huge! I quickly found out that 2 bags of candy wasn't nearly enough. Ehre is an Alligaor (girl) and Benjamin is a Pumpkin, Jeff is Dilbert, and I dressed up as "A Breakup" and carried around a tub of chocolate ice cream and a spoon. :) Don't laught at Jeff and my costume we decided to dress up just before we left.
Happy Ben
It appears that my video didn't work on this blog site so I decided to post a few of the pictures of our happy Benjamin. What a wonderful guy he is in the stage where he enjoys exploring everything, he just wanders around checking everything out. But when he is in his playpen he likes to play peek-a-boo, he can do this with Ehre, and she'll get him to a point where they both can't stop laughing its SOOOO cute! When they aren't having fun playing around the house Ehre is always asking if they can go and play in the tub...caution you may get wet watching them play.

Stake Trunk or Treat
Making this a Stake idea was huge! I quickly found out that 2 bags of candy wasn't nearly enough. Ehre is an Alligator (girl) and Benjamin is a Pumpkin, Jeff is Dilbert, and I dressed up as "A Breakup" and carried around a tub of chocolate ice cream and a spoon. :) Don't laugh at Jeff and my costume we decided to dress up just before we left.
Did you know that it once said in the "For the Strength of the Youth" Pamphlet that it was immodest to be seen outside of the home with curlers and a house robe?... ohhh in today's standards I'd say this would be quite modest...how things have changed. :)
Richfield Halloween Party
We are definitely a minority here, there was only 4 other "white" people here at this party, so when the dancing started we just watched. We decided that the African American people that live around us can really dance, and look cool but if we were to try we would just look dumb. Why is that? This party was really fun, we were able to meet more kids Ehre and Ben's age. Ehre had a lot of fun, played her first game of duck-duck-goose, and then ate lots of cupcakes and hot dogs.
