1850's Delphi Christmas

A gentleman walking the grounds, in fashion.

This is a "Hair wreath" when people passed away they would collect locks of hair from the deceased and make these to remember the individual. At first it sounds gross, but remember they didn't have photos at that time to remember someone by.

Snack time with "old fashioned treats"

This grandpa was making wooden ornaments for all the kids.
The kids thought that it would be fun to dress up, it was!

Ehre making a clay pot!

Stain Glass Kaleidoscope

This was a really cute activity, and only 20 minutes away. The kids loved dressing up and playing on the canal boat.

Princess/Prince Day at School

They make it soo much fun, it was actually "Costume" Day for the letter "C" but try telling Ehre that!

"Pamper Shower"

We held this "Pamper Party" for two friends who were expecting. It was a lot of fun! Deffinitly something we'll repeat!

Ehre's Birthday at School

We usually forget the camera but this time we remembered! Ehre had a blast celebrating her birthday with her classmates! She was even lucky enough to have her grandparents and uncles there, although Spencer is the only one to have made it into a picture somehow.

Christmas at the Petersons's home in Michigan

We figured since my parents made it this far, we would take them the rest of the way to Alice's. It was a wonderful part of their trip! But as usual we didn't take a whole lot of pictures while we were there because we were having too much fun!

sorry

Still no new pics, I brought the camera to school but forgot the cable.

Lucille Maas, Jeff's grandmother, passed away last night. She will be returned to WI to be burried next to her husband next week. We are happy that she has been reunited with husband Eli.

Good by Grandma.

Sick Family

This semester has been a tough one, I was sick at the beginning just before school started ( I think it was nerves)...then I got sick 2 weeks later, then the kids, then Jeff and this cycle kept on repeating over and over. Twice I've taken kids to class, we've had 4 sick days where kids couldn't go to daycare, and Friday I went in to take my two finals, and left everyone else home really sick. I think we're all better now (go figure the semester is almost over). So I apologize that the blog has been neglected, but I didn't have many "interesting" pictures... puking is not interesting. SO please bear with us we'll be done with this semester by the end of next week and then we'll get back to blogging.
Thanks for the understanding.
Ann

"We should tell Jesus thank you."

Remember that lost camera...the one we've been missing for 6 months. The one Ehre's been praying for, (she still tells us often that Jesus was here during the day looking for it). ... its found!

We pulled out they hide-a-way couch for a movie and there it was folded inside the bed!

So, we had to make a special breakfast for Ben, apologizing for using him as the scapegoat.

A little prayer of thanks, for it showing up.

And a cute little lesson for Ehre on how Heavenly Father really does answer our prayers, and helps us find things.

It was a great moment!

Thanksgiving

We had a great time with Jason and his family on Thanksgiving Day. We had "dinner" with friends and it was a fun day!
